Mr. Dennis Richardson

Welcome to Tieton Intermediate School Physcial Education!!! The goal of physical education is to develop our students to be physical literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a LIFETIME of healthful physical activity.

Students will participate in many Locomotor skills (running, jumping, etc.) and Manipluative skills (throwing, catching, dribbling, volleying, etc).  This year, students will rotate in the morning every 6 weeks participating in physical education lessons each day of the week.   In the afternoon, ALL students will rotate through a schedule that allows them to work on team building skills, fitness and fast pace activities every other day (4th & 6th grade 15 minutes, 5th grade every third day for 30 minutes).

Students have rotated to their 2nd six week rotation classes.  In P.E. students started with a new game at TIS called Battlegolf.  Watch YouTube videos on how we adapted this activity for TIS.  For the next few weeks while weather permits, we'll work via active games on passing & catching, kicking and intro to softball hitting.

  • What's Happening in P.E.? By Elegardo Serrano

SInce the beginning of the year, I've had the pleasure of being a student teacher helpng out Mr. Richardson and trying to learn everything I can from him.

My name is Elegardo Serrano, I'm currently on my final quarter from CWU for my Secondary Eduction degree. I've already earned my Physical Education and School Health Degree from CWU.

I graduated from Davis High School and unfortunately never had the opportunity to go to Elementary or Junior High with Mr. Richardson, It would have made the decision to become a future P.E. and Health teacher that much easier.
