Hello!

I am Ms. Sears and I love teaching math and science to the 5th grade students at Tieton Intermediate School with a great team! This is my 7th year of teaching (the last 6 being here at TIS), and getting to work with the inquisitive, insightful students I see in my classroom every day is truly a delight.  We cover so much content in 5th grade, the students are learning new things all the time.

I am the mom of four grown up children and love traveling to spend time with them at their homes in Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. We try to all get together every summer for a week at the beach on the Oregon coast. It's my favorite time of the year.

Fun Facts about Ms. Sears:

*Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Paraprofessional in a special education classroom when we lived in northern Wisconsin.

*When our family lived in Wisconsin, we had a farm and raised beef cattle and sheep...but that was a long time ago! 

*I love plain chocolate M & M's.

*I always cheer for the Seahawks, unless the Green Bay Packers are playing against them.
