Welcome/ Bienvenidos
Welcome to 4th grade Math and Science! I am Cesar Farias, your child’s new teacher. I am excited to get to know your child and you as well. I am looking forward to building a collaborative relationship with you, having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. I have high expectations for your child and I will do all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations by checking with your son/daughter to make sure that his/her work is being done. I am writing to ask you to become a partner with me in your child’s education. I will only have your child for a short time, so I want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime.
I know my teaching must begin with making students feel at home in the classroom and helping them come together in a learning community. This community is made up of unique individuals each with his or her own learning style, strengths, interests, history, hopes and dreams.
Now a little bit about me:
I was raised in the Yakima Valley in a family of nine. I graduated from Davis High School, then attended the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID., where I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Science, then graduated with my Master’s in Education at Heritage University in Toppenish, WA. I live in the area with my wife, our two daughters, our three dogs, and cat. I absolutely love to watch my daughters play soccer, I also coach soccer, our family’s favorite sport. On my free time you can find me fishinging, camping, hunting and gardening.
