Welcome to 6th and 7th grade science!  I am Mrs. Matson and this is my 10th year teaching this class at Highland Junior High! Every student is capable of success.  Science knowledge is important not only because we use science every day, but because it also encourages the ability to think critically and problem solve.  This year we will learn about our content information, how to be successful in the classes we will be taking in the future, and how to be respectful and successful thinkers and science learners. In addition to teaching 7th grade science, I teach leadership, am the ASB Advisor, and the HMS Track and Field coach!  I love getting to know my students every year and helping them navigate this new world of middle school.
