Hi. My name is Jami Pottratz and I teach 7th grade math. As a third generation Scottie, I am honored to teach within the district I live and love. My daughter Penni and I live in Tieton along with our three dogs (Humphrey, Theodore, Teeter) and our three cats (Tiger, Barney, Rex). I have worked in the Highland School District for 14 years. My teaching career began in 7th grade math, then shifted to Title/Intervention for 7th grade, 8th grade and TIS. My teaching role then transitioned into Instructional Coaching along with Linda Manske. The opportunity to teacher 3rd grade at MWC was made available and I jumped in with both feet. A few years ago, I moved back into 7th grade math at HJH. I have really been given a thorough opportunity to work within all aspects of the Highland School District, which has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the different systems students experience at Highland. In addition to the various teaching hats I have had, I spent the last few years as assistant coach for Highland volleyball, varsity and junior varsity levels. 

I am excited to again have the opportunity to guide students throughout their learning in 7th grade math.
