Hello,

I am Rebecca Kok and I am the school counselor at Highland Middle School.  Since earning a Master's degree in school counseling in 2005, I have been with the Highland School District.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Highland community and its' students.  I truly believe small schools offer so much more than just an education; staff are able to care about and really get to know your kids well.  My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment in order to help students develop the necessary skills to make good decisions, to be respectful and responsible as they become successful members of society.  Teenage years can be a difficult time for kids.  Developmentally, they are transitioning from a dependent child to an independent adult.  They are forming their own unique identity.  All students are welcome to stop by my office during the day or email me with any concerns they have.  Of course parents may contact me as well.
