DISTRICT WATER TESTING

The Highland School District complies with all testing procedures of district potable water as required by the Washington State Department of Health, Office of Drinking Water. https://doh.wa.gov.

A water test performed at Marcus Whitman Cowiche Elementary School (MWC) in August of 2017 had one exceedance result for lead. The district has followed the procedures required after such a test result which includes distributing public education documents with mandatory health effects language (links below), posting the documents at the building in which the test was performed, and additional water sampling.
