Hi!  My name is Kristina Messer and I am a kindergarten teacher here at Marcus Whitman Cowiche Elementary.  I have had the honor of teaching in the Highland School District since 2004.  I have lived in the Yakima Valley my entire life and I absolutely love it here!  I am a graduate from Central Washington University with a degree in Elementary Eduaction and a Masters as a Reading Specialist, with an Early Childhood endorsement.  I am married and have two beautiful kiddos, Trey and Kenley and a dog named Bella. We spend as much time as we can at the beach or camping in our trailer.  I love being outdoors!

Teaching young children is my passion and I absolutely love teaching in the Highland School District!  I love how close this community is, how supportive everyone is, and how involved our families are.  I can honestly say I love coming to work everyday!  Teaching brings me so much joy! <3
