www.bls.gov/oco/ Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. Revised every two years, the Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations.

www.ed.gov/prog_info/SFA/StudentGuide ~~ Request a free copy of "The Student Guide" from this site, which is a comprehensive description of the federal student aid programs.

www.collegeboard.com is where you can find information about preparation for the PSAT and SAT tests. You can register for the SAT at this site.

nslds.ed.gov ~~ National Student Loan Data System. View information about federal loans and grants you have received.

http://www.salliemae.com offers a wide selection of college financing solutions.

http://www.ftc.gov/scam/ Unfortunately, in their efforts to pay the bills, many students and their parents are falling prey to scholarship scams. You might get helpful hints by visiting this site. Or try this site, it explains things a little bit differently: www.scams.

http://www.wiredscholar.com/ This is an Online Scholarship Service - Search for scholarships, fellowships, and more.

fastweb Fastweb can be used to search free for scholarships and colleges.

http://www.anycollege.net This is another scholarship and college search site.

If any of these sites want money or your credit card number - DO NOT give it to them. Many will ask for your first name, your last name, birthdate, address, e-mail address, and other personal things. It is for you and your parents to decide what information you want to share with each particular site.
