Highland School District #203
A Quality Education for All Students
P.O. Box 38......Cowiche, WA 98923
I am very excited to announce that Mr. Mark Anderson has accepted the Highland School Board's invitation to be our next superintendent. Mr. Anderson is currently the superintendent at the Lone Rock School District in Stevensville, MT. He comes to us with 12 years of superintendent experience in Montana. Prior to being a superintendent he was a 7-12 Social Studies Instructor, AD and Head Boys' and Girls' Basketball Coach. He has 22 years experience in public education. He will start his job in the Highland School District on July 1, 2009. I also wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for being a part of this very important search. I know that many of you took your own personal time to be a part of this process. Your input through the initial focus group meetings, two evenings of preliminary interviews, the final interviews and the community/staff forum gave the board additional insight. As we evaluated each candidates strengths and the benefits that they would bring, your comments were taken into consideration. Again thank you for your time and service. Once again Scottie Pride has prevailed as we all strive together to make Highland the "top of the valley!" Sincerely, Nikki Keller, Board Member Search Chairman
